A friend brought us a Brand new Tesla Model Y Performance from Fairfax, VA, and was looking to protect and preserve the vehicle. After he saw another Tesla in the shop have window tint applied, he opted in for our window tint services. Next up, he wanted to provide protection with STEK DynoShield PPF—the ultimate paint protection film (PPF) while keeping a wet paint look. Model Y is getting a Full PPF application, All Four Doors in STEK PPF, and STEK window Tint with a durable finish. We used Glassparency Window Coating to help protect and bead water. We applied Gyeon Rim on the wheel faces, designed to provide advanced protection for every type of wheel rim—whether wet painted, powder coated, anodized, or polished.
Preparation and Detailing
To ensure the highest level of adhesion and a spotless finish, we begin with a meticulous cleaning and detailing of your Tesla Model Y. This step removes any dirt, wax, or contaminants from the paint surface, providing a pristine canvas for the PPF application.
Disassembly for Precision
We disassembled specific components of the Model Y, including removing the wheel arch trim, cameras, and emblems. This allowed us to apply the PPF without any interruptions or gaps, ensuring every inch of exposed paint is covered.
Custom-Cut Film and Wrapped Edges
For a seamless, invisible finish, we custom-cut each section of the PPF to fit the Model Y perfectly. Our installation includes wrapped edges on all panels, which not only provides extra protection at the edges but also gives a smooth, factory-like appearance.
Clean, Bubble-Free Install
Using the highest standards and precision tools, we installed the PPF layer by layer, ensuring there were no bubbles, wrinkles, or imperfections. Each panel was installed with the utmost care to ensure an even, clean application across the entire vehicle.
Reassembly and Final Inspection
After the PPF was applied, we carefully reattached the wheel arch trim, cameras, and emblems. Our final inspection ensures every component is securely in place, and the PPF installation is flawless, with no visible edges or bubbles.
The Fairfax, VA owner was ecstatic with the new aggressive look the Model Y had after the Window Tint application. He was amazed at the PPF application and how it kept the car looking brand new with wet like paint!
