Car Detailing is my hobby!
A lot of people ask me why I chose to leave my previous profession to become a professional auto detailer. I spent roughly 7 years in the restaurant business owning and operating two national franchises with my business partners. It was a great experience but I honestly needed to find something I was passionate about and looked forward to getting up and improving on every day.
A career that would always keep me engaged and present new challenges. It was auto detailing. I researched every product, tool, method and started detailing for free to practice my skill set. I would find people who were willing to give me their car for a day to test products and use my new tools. I didn’t care if it was interior, exterior, glass work, engine bays, wheels, wheel wells or trim I was cleaning and protecting. I loved every second of it.
Restoring a like new look
Improving the look of a car in any way possible, going the extra step to make the car look exceptional is what inspires me. I was able to spend several days on a single car if there was no time a constraint for the client. I found myself constantly stimulated and extremely engaged with every step of the process. For those who know me, that it saying a lot because I have never been known as a particularly patient person.
I am a detailer because I enjoy the process of bringing back the entire look of the vehicle from the inside out. Whether it’s providing a basic wash, light interior cleaning, polishing service, or a full detail of the entire vehicle; I am restoring the look of the car for the customer. What pushes me to do my best is showing the customer the transformation when they arrive to pick up their car.
Job Satisfaction!
There is nothing more satisfying to me than educating them on the difference between a detailer and a car wash (Read: why you should avoid drive thru car washes). The entire process of detailing is my passion. Since diving into this full time, I cannot see myself doing anything else. I think about it all the time and I am constantly learning and improving my techniques for my customers. I am a detailer because I am a car guy and to me, there is nothing better than the appearance of a clean car and sharing the full experience with my customers.
