About this Interior & Exterior Detail
This Hyundai Genesis came to us from Reston, VA for our premium exterior detail, spray sealant and interior detail. The car is detailed regularly and kept pretty tidy inside. After talking the customer through the services offered we made sure every area she had concern with would be addressed and started off on the interior of the car.

Interior Cleaning & Detail
The interior needed a through vacuum and all plastics cleaned and protected. The carpets, seats and rear decklid all received a heavy vacuum. Then we moved onto the center console, pedals and door sills to remove the heavy build up from anything tracked into the car. Using an all purpose cleaner we removed the heavy dirt on select areas. We then put a coat of Meguiars Interior Detailer for a matte OEM looking finish with UV protection.

Cleaning the Wheels & Dressing the Tires
Once the interior was done we dove into the exterior, starting with the wheels. The car was covered in salt from the recent snow we had in Northern Virginia (NOVA). The wheel wells, wheels and tires were addressed first. The wheels were cleaned using Gyeon Iron to safely remove any contaminants. The wheel wells and tires were cleaned with all purpose cleaner to be prepped for the trim dressing later in the detail.

Exterior Detail Gameplan
After getting the wheels and tires prepped we inspected the paint to find any areas to be cautious of and to document any problems with the paint. We also inspected which areas needed the most attention before touching the car with a wash mitt. The rinse process focusing on heavily soiled areas reduces the risk of anything getting into the wash mitt that may cause scratching or swirls during the wash process. There were a few areas that we needed to be careful around.

Exterior Wash and Protection
After reviewing what needed addressing we began our wash process using the two bucket method to ensure the safest wash. The car was foamed using Gyeon Bathe after a thorough rinse. We then washed it using a microfiber wash mitt and two buckets. Working top to bottom and rinsing the mitt after every panel. The car was then rinsed and we used Gyeon Iron to remove any embedded contaminants. After rinsing the car again we used compressed air to blow out all areas water may hide and on the paint to get as much water off the car without touching it. Once dry we prepped each panel with Carpro Eraser before applying a coat of Carpro Reload. The tires, trim and wheel wells were all treated with CarPro PERL for a long lasting matte finish and protection from the elements. Although the car wasn’t in perfect shape, we were able to restore gloss to the paint, protect it and get it looking proper again. This car has had many repainted panels and still has some defective areas as seen above but the car still turned out great and is protected for the remainder of the winter months.
