The owner of this 2019 Honda Civic Type R – from South Riding, VA – is understandably proud of this incredible vehicle. Wanting to restore the paint’s showroom gloss and protect it from the wear and tear of the elements, he called Tabula Rasa Fine Auto Detailing to ask us about our single stage paint correction, as well as our Gyeon Flash 3-Year ceramic coating options.
We explained to him that our single step paint correction is specifically designed to greatly improve the overall gloss and clarity of the vehicle’s paint. For its part, our Gyeon Flash 3-Year ceramic coating adds an additional layer of protection against UV damage, chemical damage from the road, and damage from the elements.
The first thing that struck us when he brought the Civic Type R in was how well he maintains the vehicle. This owner has obviously been taking great care of his car, and has even made a couple of modifications to it, adding some smaller carbon fiber pieces to enhance the vehicle’s appearance.
We began the paint correction process by thoroughly washing and decontaminating all the car’s surfaces, including the wheels, wheel wells, and tires. The goal was to remove any road grime, bugs, tar, and other contaminants that had built up and were marring the vehicle’s appearance.
After this, we performed an intensive polish to buff out any light scratches and swirls in the paint, and to revive its originally glossy appearance.
Once we completed the paint correction and got the Civic Type R looking showroom fresh, we added an additional layer of protection with our Gyeon Quartz Q2M Flash 3-Year ceramic coating. The owner wanted to make sure the entire exterior of his car was protected, so we added a Gyeon Rim coating, a Gyeon Trim coating, and a GlassParency 3-Year Windshield Coating for additional protection and ease of cleaning.
In the end, this South Riding resident was thrilled with how his 2019 Honda Civic Type R turned out.
